Second baseman - Will work for chew

Bret Boone is a free agent and is not creating good PR for himself.

Other reports state that Boone wanted to buy coal at the course, but told it was not available.

Reminiscent of Captain Queeg. 'They're all out to get me, I tell ya. All those second baseman who want my job. Well it's not going to work...I'm going to expose the conspiracy...'

Without some corroboration, there's more than reasonable doubt on this one. Seems like Bret is more a victim of a slow news day.

Isn't the noun spelled, 'chaw'? I'm not sure how, but I ended up on a mailing list where, every couple of months, Coppenhagen chewing tobaccey sends me two coupons for a free tin. I've not yet gotten up the nerve to cash one in.

I was going to use "chaw", but the article used "chew".

I could have made a joke about bring Skoal to Newcastle too.

Whew, good thing you didn't. We dodger a bullet there, by-cracky.
