Huff out at least a month

by Bob Timmermann

Tampa Bay put third baseman Aubrey Huff on the 15-day DL with a left knee strain. Pitcher Mark Hendrickson was placed on the DL the day before.

Other players departing because of injury.

  • Terry Mulholland was put on the DL by Arizona with elbow inflammation. Casey (Mr. Jennie Finch) Daigle takes his spot.
  • Ian Kinsler was put on the DL by Texas. Gary Matthews Jr was reactivated.
  • Ken Griffey, Jr. left Wednesday's game early with knee stiffness. He's not on the DL. But give him time.
  • Mike DeJean is on the DL for Colorado. Ramon Ramirez is his replacement.

Let's hope we soon hear Gerry Hunsicker saying "Dammit! Now we have to call up those kids Edwin Jackson and B. J. Upton, grrr!!!"

And the most important question Bob, what team will Mulholland be playing for when he comes off the DL?

Hopefully, the death of Ian Kinsler will jumpstart the career of my lame-ass Scoresheet draft choice of the year, D'Angelo Jimenez. But I wouldn't bet on it.

Or rather, the minor injury of said Kinsler.

Bob, of all people, has misspelled two of the names in his post.

I'll let him figure out which two. ;)
