Moore to possibly replace Baird in Kansas City
2006-05-27 10:15
by Bob Timmermann

The Kansas City Star is reporting that Atlanta assistant GM Dayton Moore is in negotiations with Royals owner David Glass to replace current GM Allard Baird.

If Moore and the Royals can't agree, the team is expected to set its sights on either Ed Wade or Randy Smith.

I don't think it can be shorted any further.

4. However if Ed Wade and Randy Smith are still viable GM candidates the greater fool theory is still working.

6. I think that is where the GFT meets its end as there is very little chance that Robinson and Bowden will ever be allowed to have those same jobs again.

I think Ted Lerner will ask Matthew Lecroy to come out to the mound during a game when Robinson is making a pitching change and tell Robinson that he's been fired.

Lecroy will cry about it.
