So, in general, do people root for a streak like this, against it, happy for it to go on but it better end when they play my team? Does it just depend (Boo Rollins, Go Chase!)

And are there jinxing rules (e.g., "Utley's 0-3, coming up for what may be his last at bat . . .")?

I think it depends on the player. I did not want Pete Rose's streak to continue. I didn't worry about Jimmy Rollins's streak.
