by Bob Timmermann

The team from Columbus, Georgia won the 60th Little League World Series with a 2-1 win over Kawaguchi, Japan Monday.

The only other team from Georgia to win it all was the team from Marietta back in 1983.

Nope. Bob's displaying his knowledge of 20th Century American fiction again.

Any movie/book where a guy who works in a library ends up with Ali McGraw isn't all that bad.

True, true. Particularly that early edition of Ali McGraw. By the time she got to Natalie Jastrow in "Winds of War" she was a little long in the tooth for the part, but in "Goodbye Columbus" she was just fine.
