Thump!
2006-09-05 21:10
That's the sound of the Cubs falling into the NL basement as the Pirates have temporarily shed the title of "Worst Team in the NL". Jose Bautista scored on a Ryan Dempster wild pitch in the ninth inning at Wrigley Field as Pittsburgh beat Chicago 6-5. Pittsburgh began the season 0-6 and had never been out of last place until tonight. The Pirates and Cubs play two more games Wednesday and Thursday at Wrigley.
