The Yankees have signed an agreement to make the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons their AAA affiliate in 2007, replacing Columbus.

Columbus will now be the AAA team for Washington. Philadelphia moves to Ottawa in 2007, which will become Allentown in 2008. Washington used to use New Orleans, but Baltimore now needs a AAA affiliate.

Think Baltimore is likely to go to Norfolk, but it's not exactly clear as the Mets may have a say . . .

What were you doing in the late 1990s when the Dodgers were playing in San Bernardino? You could have gone to see Chin-Feng Chen and Bubba Crosby!

1 If the Dodgers ever move their Spring Training complex out of Florida, perhaps that day will come but for now, with 4 teams in the Southeast part of the country, Gulf Coast Dodgers, Vero Beach, Columbus and Jacksonville, it does not seem likely that there will be any movement towards joining the Cal League.
