This one might go to 111
2006-09-26 08:26
Alan Schwarz of the New York Times has a profile of a man believed to be the oldest professional baseball ever, Si Simmons, who is 110 years old (he turns 111 next month). Simmons played in the Negro Leagues from 1912 through 1929. My parents were born in 1929. My parents have passed on. Simmons played for the Homestead Grays. In 1913. My grandmother was nine then. Thanks to Johnny Nucleo for the pointer.
