Hey Bob, do you think Karl Dorrell is another version of Jim Tracy/Del Harris?

Any weather news? Like, for example, is it raining right now? When would they make the decision to PPD it?

Just cause they have weather doesn't mean it's lousy. Weather is great, it is the bugs that will kill you.

ESPN Radio is pouring salt in the wound as they replay the Cubs vs. Marlins game 6 and Bartman just made his appearance.

Cool, that was my favorite inning. Just think, if the Marlins hadn't upset the Cubs then the Yankee's would more then likely have won the world series. The Marlins did the nation a favor.

Rain is coming down at same rate as before and radar shows line of green headed this way. once that line of storms pass, it looks better. hat may be an hour or so away. considering the forecast is worse for tomorrow, they're going to do what they can to get this one in, otherwise, they miss two days.

If this game is postponed, then there's no offday between games 5 and 6, right?

So it sounds like this game will be played come hell or high water.

Literally.

Has anybody given a projected start time?
2006-10-25 18:29:52
16.   Bob Timmermann
I don't know if there's a projected starting time, but I believe that John Stuper is warming up.

Joe Buck most recently said 9:15 St. Louis time, so that's 10:15 EST and earlier for you wrong-coasters.

That said, he didn't seem to buy what he was saying as it was absolutly pouring when he announced that at 8:30 St. Louis time.

the only think i heard is that "they wanted to sneak this one in"

19 Looks possible, though the outfield will be a mess, I don't care how newfangled the new Busch Stadium field is.

Sigh. I was hoping to sleep tonight.

What percentage of Bob's jokes require the average reader to Google, to get? Or maybe I'm flattering myself to believe I'm average.

Thanks, though, everybody for the help. Don't want to go find a place to watch the game until there's one to watch.

I am totally going to fall asleep before this game even starts. Somebody pay attention and make a note of all the stupid things Jim Leyland does, k?

9 I hitched a ride home today with a friend who is a rabid Cubs fan. We got in the car just in time to hear the Bartman inning. My friend could barely drive he was so upset still by that inning. I was cackling.

If you had tickets for tonight's game:
1) you wouldn't be reading this
2) they are good for Game FIVE, not Game 4.

I thought the Griddle had a retractable roof. Oh well. Perhaps Bob should think about building one for his blog. These rain outs are bad news. vr, Xei
