The story that everyone missed at the Caribbean Series
2007-02-07 20:38
by Bob Timmermann

No, it wasn't the series win by the Dominican Republic.

It wasn't the last hurrah of Vinny Castilla.

The real story was the three-year suspension of Randall Simon for future Caribbean Series play. Simon was suspended for breach of contract and is believed to have signed two contracts with two different teams.

[Insert sausage joke here.]

Outrageous. The Serie del Caribe gets Griddled once, and it's to point out some chicanery? What about all the nice stories from Carolina? What about a single word of congratulations for our 2007 Serie del Caribe victors, the Dominican Republic? No, no, no, just a little Simon-y double dipping.

Killjoy.

Yeah, Andrew really handled the business at this year's Caribbean Series. Nice to see he took time out of his busy VX Gas Missile deliveries to give us a game by game update.

Bravo, Andrew!

Only someone who didn't care about the Serie del Caribe would let me handle a correspondency to it.

How about a SoSG joke instead?
