Phoenix SkyHarbor! It's not just for layovers! Except for me. I'm waiting for a flight to come in from Sacramento which will get me on a flight for the Gateway City, which would then keeps going on to the City of Brotherly Love. Such exciting details of my life are why you stop by to read here isn't it?

Have a safe trip, and try not to get stuck in the elevator at the top of the Arch.

Welcome to Phoenix. It's just as hot as you've heard. But the mexican food is oh so good.

"Phoenix SkyHarbor" sounds like something out of an anime.

Are there any people wandering around with purple hair and eyes the size of hubcabs?

Do the wake up calls in St. Louis just play a continuous loop of Mike Shannon saying "Get Up, Get Up."

I just crack myself up sometimes.

Maybe I'll bump into you at some point in the next couple of days- is there a research presentation on catcher's interference this year, by any chance?

There's something faintly poetic about rising again in Phoenix. Without the ashes first, however.

Hopefully, Bob, you're not flying through Phoenix in the wee small hours of the morning. Apparently the TSA there has a fun little practice of going home between midnight and 4:30a, turning off the scanners and leaving regular security guards to watch the security gates -- in between catnaps. A local TV station did a "scathing report" and caught it all on video.

Not to worry you any. After all, you're not going through there during those hours, right ???
