Twins are able to trade two pitchers for position players, while apparently preparing to trade their ace pitcher.

Hah, hah. I think this one's my favorite so far. Well done. Even though I know the principals I still can't get some of them yet.

Twins, Rays trade ___ (unless that bird's called a Garza, I'm stumped), Young(?), uh...breeches??, others.

Oh God... Bob. Garza is a Basque word for "heron."

So... Twins, Rays trade Garza, Young, (four/fore?) others.

Garza is also the Spanish word for "heron."

I don't speak Basque.

plus fours!

>ding! ding! ding!<

Twins, Rays trade Garza, Young, plus four(s) others.

What do I win?

I had to cheat on that one - looked up Garza on wikipedia and to my surprise there was an entry for that word (along with Matt Garza). Cited Basque origins but also Spanish. I was being too obscure. I did remember 'plus fours' though.

I think I should win Johan Santana for the Dodgers as a prize.

You win my undying admiration.

Admiration lasts until midnight 11/28.

Offer void in CA, NY, and Prince Edward Island.

Darnit.

I knew I shouldn't have vacationed on Prince Edward Island this week.

Why are the twins wearing spacesuits?

The Twins finally landed Jason Pridie! They selected him in the Rule 5 draft in December 2005, but he was returned to the Rays in March 2006.

10 I have only watched through season 2 of Lost (I came aboard late), so I'm eagerly awaiting the season 3 DVD release.

I might be the only one OK with the strike delay of season 4 since I'll be watching season 3.

I became a constant watcher in the second half of last season. So you have seen more episodes than I have.

Is the strike going to delay the season 4 premiere? It wasn't til January or February anyway, as I recall, and I imagine they'd already shot some of the episodes to start, no? I could be wrong. I don't think I can take waiting even longer than that. Was painful to see that was the date after I watched the season finale. I'd rather be able to catch up with those season 3 DVDs, plus four(s)!

The men in the spacesuits aren't twins. But they are in a Gemini capsule.

15 The delay has to do with wanting to show the episodes continuously, all during higher rating periods. Part of the ratings dip last year was due to the down time between packs of episodes.

Meaning if they can't get 16 episodes in before summer, it would have to wait until fall 2008.
