Clemens swears innocence?

All I could figure was the swears part, so I'm assuming the plane is some sort of ancient model that sounds similar to Clemens and the girl represents some sort of movie or something that has to do with innocence.

Then again, I could be way off

Yes, you were way off.

Igor Sikorsky would often swear when he burned his fingers.
2007-12-25 09:05:39
5.   Bob Timmermann
The Sikorsky part is correct.

"weill" = Opthamoplogy = eyes = 20/20 ?

therefore third hint is 20/20 ?

8.   Southern Yankee
(Somehow "clemens") enlists 20/20 ?
2007-12-25 13:16:03
9.   Bob Timmermann
This puzzle has absolutely nothing to do with Roger Clemens.

Igor = Juan Gonzalez ?

11.   Bob Timmermann
The third picture is the key I think.

Does this have anything to do with Japan?
2007-12-25 13:34:09
13.   Greg Brock
I only ask because that's Lotte Lenya, and Chiba Lotte would work.
2007-12-25 13:55:17
14.   Southern Yankee
Hey Greg Brock I'm with you, nice catch.
It is Lotte Lenya and the Weill clue is for Kurt Weill, for whom she starred in Three Penny Opera.

Now Lotte recently signed Naruse to a big raise. THe second clue could be "signs on" or something like it but how does Igor Sikorsky fit ?

2007-12-25 14:14:54
15.   Greg Brock
Well, reenlisting is often called "re-upping" so it would be "so and so re-ups with Lotte."
2007-12-25 14:37:42
16.   overkill94
Lotte Lenya is a real person? I always thought she was just the character who had to look out for Mack the Knife.

The Marines have a pitcher named Sikorski, so...

Sikorski signs up with Lotte.

Or something like that. It's not re-ups because he was with the Swallows last year.
