My chance for a catchy tune ruined

For the first time in my life, I'm on a train that's leaving from Track 29.

Sadly, no one offered me a shine and the train is headed toward Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

I'm inexplicably drawn to cities that have hosted the Olympics and have long names.

Oslo must be a tough call for you.

Oslo is a surprisingly uninteresting place to visit. There is much to see in Norway. But it is not in Oslo.

I liked Oslo. In fact, one of my favorite pictures ever is from there.

I'm not saying I'd spend a week there.

Are you taking the scenic train to Bergen?

By the way, are there really 29 tracks at the Munich train station? I don't know that Frankfurt's station has that many.

5 Apparently so:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%BCnchen_Hauptbahnhof

says there are 32 tracks, but the track numbers go up to 36.

As far as I can tell there are no tracks 1 through 4. I've never seen them.

Oslo's best feature is that you can take the train to Bergen or go see "The Scream" if no one has stolen it at the time.

7 I'm pretty sure you're correct. Last time I was there I had a ticket with Gleis 3 listed and when I got frustrated enough to ask the Schaffner about it he laughed pretty hard. After a few minutes deciphering his Bayerisch I realized that there wasn't a Gleis 3 at all.

I think tracks one through four are either reserved for special trains or maintenance or they could be underground for the S-Bahn.

7 The train from Oslo to Bergen is fabulous.

I enjoyed Vigeland Park more than the Munch museum. And I was there when they had multiple "Scream"s.
