The DFA All-stars

Jim Molony of Mlb.com highlights the players who have been designated for assignment and which teams might want to take a chance on them.

Preston Wilson, cut loose by the Astros, is apparently not the subject of a lot of interest. The Rockies don't seem to want him.

But other players ripe for the picking include: Randy Choate, William Bergolla, Luis Terrero, Guillermo Mota, Ramon Vazquez, Mike Koplove, Eli Marrero, and many more.

OK, perhaps the use of "All-star" was not entirely accurate.

I always wondered if Randy Choate went to an elite prep school.

According to The Baseball Cube, Choate attended Churchill High in Texas.

That's funny, because I had a friend named Churchill High, and he went to Choate.
