Yellow alert - Player needs triple for cycle
Orange alert - Player needs double for cycle
Red alert - Player need single for cycle
If a player needs a home run for the cycle, the level of the alert varies depending upon the determination of the Cycle Detection Warning System, which is headquartered in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

The Barry McGuire teams today are:
1. Florida - The Marlins are eliminated if they lose to Cincinnati OR if the Phillies or Dodgers win.
2. Los Angeles of Anaheim - The Angels are eliminated with a loss to Texas AND a win by Oakland at Seattle.
The NL wild card race cannot end before Friday. The NL West race could be sewn up by the end of Wednesday. The NL Central race cannot end before Thursday.
