The pot calling the kettle black blog

by Bob Timmermann

Things I didn't know:

  1. There is a blog that is part of Encyclopaedia Britannica's publishing company.
  2. Denny McLain is one of the writers.
  3. Denny McLain thinks that baseball players aren't necessarily always responsible when it comes to alcohol and other vises (or vices as apparently I was in a Home Depot state of mind.)
  4. I am without a witty metaphor to describe this situation.

For the record, I have a tea kettle at home. And it's white. But I really don't use it as I bought an electric pot to heat water. It's white too.

Is Denny writing from his cell? This guys life should be an HBO series.

I don't know, I've never known a ballplayer to lose a vise though they do run amok with vices.

Those electric pots are awesome. I have one myself. Fill the pot, put it on the electric base, and BOOM! Hot water in about three minutes.

I'm going to buy one for my class next year. Hot tea all day long. Sweeeeeeet.

I used to know this writer guy from Hollywood. Whenever he'd call he'd start his message w/ 'Pot to kettle. Pot to kettle. Come in kettle!' We would go out and, both being single, rubberneck at the babes. He called the two of us 'The Obvious Brothers'.
"Pot to kettle!"

I don't get it. Baseball players having sex with stewardesses on a plane ... and McLain makes like that's a BAD thing?
