Back when he was a young pup, my father was a janitor at the old RKO studios and he worked on the set of, "It's a Wonderful Life". Many of those snow scenes were actually filmed in the blasting heat of a San Fernando Valley summer. The women in fur coats were utterly miserable. During breaks they would open up the coats to cool off despite having nothing but undergarments beneath. Quite an eyeful of celebrity skin for a young man back in the 1930s.
