TBS is showing baseball on my TV right now.

Actually, they're showing a commercial now.

Cal Ripken favors Tampa Bay. Harold Reynolds and Dennis Ecksersley dissent.

Although the Griddle is nominally nonpartisan, this series has made me realize why Bronx Banterers hate Pedroia and Youkilis so much.

Especially Youkilis.

But I'm nominally nonpartisan.

In the 8th inning.

Of Game 5.

Craig Sager wanted much shorter answers out of B.J. Upton.

Stupid athlete speaking in complete sentences!

286 I would have said Longoria before the end of Game 5, a pitcher who dominates two starts is likely to win the MVP.

284 , Hazleton Joe Maddon told them in spring training that 9 = 8, aka nine players doing their best would get them into one of 8 playoff spots. Now there are only two spots left...and the RAYS are one of them!!!!

I think the WS is gonna by fun, seriously, this is what it's all about, I don't fallow other teams but who would have thought the Rays would make it all-the-way, I really think there story is WAY more compelling then another red sox WS. I love it!!

These Tampa Bay front office peepz are SO YOUNG, they make the Phils' shady cabal of owners look as old as...the Red Sox did this series!

They did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rays in the World Series!! WOO HOO.

Welp, we know this. Somebody is going to win their first World Series in at least a decade. I'm just so glad to see the Empire go down. I don't just mean the Red Sox, I mean Boston Sports!!

What a great year for Tampa Bay. Congratulations to all the players, the coaches, the broadcasters, and everyone who makes this organization run.

I went to pick up some things at the store and finished the game on satellite radio with the Tampa Bay broadcasters. That was a great moment. I made sure to record the game on DVR too, so I got to see the final out for myself.

I LOVE THIS GAME!

It was a $20 bet, split into four $5 bets, as to avoid paying taxes upon collection time. 150x20=$3000, but I am not counting my chickens yet, but I have them all lined up and have given each one a name.

I could put money on the Phillies to win the World Series now and gaurantee myself around $1500 depending on who is favored of course. I think that would be bad karma though. And since I made it this far, why not go for the gusto!

All right Xei!!! First of all, a belated welcome back! I'm glad to have you back on the toaster.

Secondly, good luck to you in the World Series. At least going in, you have to figure the Rays will take this series in 5. The Phillies have only one very good starter. The Rays have a pretty good, complete rotation to work with. The Phils also have a long layoff, not unlike the Rockies did last year.

Should be fun!

Just think of it as the NL West.

Actually, that is the NFC West.
