According to an ESPN.com report, the Phillies have sent enigmatic starter Vicente Padilla to Texas for a player to be named later.
The Phillies have now gotten rid of all the players they acquired from Arizona in exchange for Curt Schilling. Padilla will move from playing in a hitters' park like Citizens Bank into yet another hitters park like Ameriquest.
I think this is a good move by the Rangers. Not like they are giving up much for Padilla who is a risk, but not a costly one. The guy has the ability to be a very good player, he just needs to be consistent. He can be much better than anything the Rangers presently have.
With his contract, he is no Video IPOD. But the Yankees will find their rotation in trouble again and figure, if we redeemed Shawn Chacon, why not CHP?
