Cardinals add interchangeable reliever

by Bob Timmermann

Now Ricardo Rincon has signed with the Cardinals so Tony La Russa can maintain his policy of never allowing any left handed batter hit against a right hander in his bullpen.

I hear Ricardo is good at hitting corners.

I hear Ricardo is good at hitting corners.

Bronson Arroyo and Alex Ríos have squared off three times in their careers, but Ríos has come up dry each time.

Giants not happy with Feliz...?

Giants GM Brian Sabean denied reports that he's actively shopping Pedro Feliz.
"We hope that he's the everyday third baseman. That's the plan," Sabean said. "Everybody knows we're looking into trading (Edgardo) Alfonzo. If somebody comes to us on a player like Feliz, who's in the last year of the contract, it is prudent that we listen. Does that mean we're actively trying to trade him? No. I wouldn't draw that conclusion." The belief is that the Giants would prefer to trade both Feliz and Alfonzo and sign Bill Mueller. Dec. 13 - 1:59 pm et
