Ken has used his considerable programming skills to come up with the top 10 names of baseball players to use for Scrabble (made by an unnamed toy company whom I don't wish to name because that joke has been played out.) It's nice to know Ed Ott's all-time record (6 points in Scrabble) remains unthreatened by today's players.

I think the fact that you can't play 2 z's should go against Piazza.

Mientkiewicz would then be the highest score you could get without having to use a blank. You just need to set the board up right you can get all the letters in.

My friend I played Scrabble against in grad school would be able to do something like that. If we had played Scrabble for money, I would be working as his butler today to pay off the debts.

When we played in graduate school all you cared about was form, style, and making pretty words. I was concerned with maximizing my score (and winning)--which is, afterall, the point of the game. I know you have still never gotten over me scoring 100 points with 'squishy'.

How long until we have team rankings?

This offseason, so far, who has increased their scrabble total the most?
