And a new home for Johnny Damon?
2005-12-20 19:53
by Bob Timmermann

Have the Yankees solved their Bubba and Bernie problem in center field?

This very lightly detailed story says that Johnny Damon is headed to the Bronx.

I assume that you may find this story in other sources. Just guessing.

And for ease of viewing, Here is a better link. Thanks to robertdaeley.

Haha it's like that story with the guy who was shot on the airplane and the news stations had live coverage of it and they had no idea what was going on and it was just hours of we know something important has happened.

This gives the Yanks a very tough lineup-of course it all begins with starting pitching which, in my judgement, is still questionable but no complaints tonight from a Yankee fan living in enemy territory (15 minutes from Fenway by bus)

Dimag - What is the mood in Beantown on losing Damon? Have BoSox fans been discussing replacements all along? As a Yankee fan I have mixed feelings about Damon's age and defense but he can slide to a corner OF spot in the out years if necessary. Boston now has a hole to fill and not the NYY so I'm happy.
