Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports follows up on his column about MLB.tv's blackout policies.

He has a link to Dan Werr's excellent map showing which parts of the country are blacked out for which teams.

This guy has a long writeup on the economics of the issue, arguing that mlb should allow individual internet viewers to buy their way free from blackout restrictions.

Glad I live in LA and not Iowa. I'll have to check that map before I retire, hate to move to a place where I can never watch a ballgame.

3 No wonder Ray Kinsella plowed over his corn field. It was the only hope he had of ever being able to see a ball game.

I suppose I should be happy that I live in an area with only a single team blacked out, and that it's the one I dislike more than any other sports franchise (except perhaps the Dallas Cowboys) to boot. OTOH, I doubt I'll ever shell out the money they want for the package, so it's kind of a pyrrhic victory.
