Greg Brock didn't enter?

Neither Greg Brock nor Mark Donohue chose to enter.

I believe that only the group tied for first has any chance to win as the people who have 5 or 6 would just have their picks cancelled out.

The big match in the next round is Portugal vs. England. The contest could be over if Portugal wins.

I know I'll be out if Portugal wins, but it will be worth it to shut up all of those stupid English fans that I know.

4 I see that hatred is a motivation for you. ;-)

5. Like I said in the last thread, it is my main motivator for picks. I'd say that I severely dislike more teams than I actually like in all sports, college football being the best example for me.

The three people with 7 points all have different winners in the championship so I don't think there will be any need for tiebreakers.

I had that feeling long ago. Hard not to pick favorites tho.

It's weird how these play out. Brazil is accused of not looking good, but they really haven't been pushed. And I can't see France pushing them (1998 is why Germany has a chance this year)

So now we need to have another one and pick scores (NOT!)

I didn't enter because I find that when I enter these pool type deals, I begin to root for my picks, rather than for the teams I really want to win. The competitive nature of gambling tends to diminish the raw enjoyment of sport.

I am also lazy.

9 That's why I picked Sweden to win it all in my pool. I knew they weren't going to win, but I'm just going to remember who I would have picked (Argentina) instead, and declare moral victory if I'm right.

Ah, nothing so sweet as the moral victory. Well, except for the actual ones. But whoever gets one of those?
