Boston Globe columnist and ESPN analyst Peter Gammons underwent emergency brain surgery today to repair an aneurysm in his brain. According to the report, Gammons will remain in intensive care for the next 10 to 12 days.
From my layman's reading about the matter, a ruptured brain aneurysm (which is what I believe Gammonst technically suffered) is one of those medical conditions that few people have any warning that they may have.
The main symptom is headaches, but they often seem like migraines or tension headaches, so people forget about them.
And most likely when you get a headache, you are not suffering from a ruptured aneurysm.

step two: gammons emergency brain surgery.
step three: ?
get well soon, pete.
I can't believe that he's only 61. He looks like he's at least 75.
I hope they've got some his favorite tunes playing in the ICU.
(bummed out)
Get well soon Peter!
...why did Jon call his thread "Gammons 3" though?
