It could be Lima Time ... Again!
2006-07-04 09:52
by Bob Timmermann

According to the New York Daily News, the Mets are considering recalling Jose Lima from AAA Norfolk to help them with their pitching problems, especially in light of Pedro Martinez's sore hip and the meltdowns of Alay Soler and John Maine.

In 14 1/3 innings earlier in the season, Lima had an ERA of 8.79 and was 0-3.

I've reckoned my existence in Lima Time since 1999.

Lima Standard Time or Lima Daylight Time?

2 It depends.

Lima Daylight Time (LDT) corresponds roughly with the baseball season.

During LDT, the "hour", or ERA, "springs forward" one run.

In Lima Time, there is no meridian, so currently on the East Coast it is about 14.10 ERA.

Soler had no problem with LA's apathetic offense.

Soler had a couple of good games, but the rest weren't. He pitched well in Arizona too. He apparently has troubles with pitching on the other side of the Rockies.
