Don't let those Devil Rays out!

by Bob Timmermann

Loyal reader, as determined by an oath adminstered by the Almagamated Transcontinental Association of Baseball Bloggers, Saddlemakers, and Sous Chefs, Diane Firstman has passed along from her blog Diamonds are for Humor, that the Tampa Devil Rays have a chance to be the first team since World War II to have a winning record at home (they finished 41-40) and play under .250 ball on the road.

Tampa Bay is 19-56 on the road and play 3 games each in Boston and Cleveland. Since Canada Day, the Devil Rays are 2-24 on the road.

Not only do the current Devil Rays play lousy on the road but when they are traded they continue to play lousy away from Tropicana field.

I just hope they keep losing, thus ensuring my Royals get the #1 pick in the draft next year.
