Chinese are crazy about sports, but they don't really have a clue what baseball is. With the upcoming Olympics it looks like MLB is trying to expose itself to the masses. I would be amazed if baseball became popular in China. I can't imagine there are many baseball facilities there, unless a soccer (which is very popular) field were converted to a baseball field. With all the pollution there, hitting a HR threw the smog would be interesting. Zai jian. Xei

3 I'm sure Bob knows which year, but Gabby Hartnett once hit a home run which acquired the nickname "The Homer in the Gloaming." Every home run hit in any park on the eastern coast of China would qualify for that title.

Nope. They wouldn't let Madonna do it; so MLB wouldn't stand a chance (especially with some players' "batter's box routine").
