Commenter stolenmonkey86 (it's his real name too, he had it legally changed) has alerted me to the most distressing news:

ESPN has hired Frank Robinson as a studio analyst.

Frank Robinson is like a hydra, if you cut off his head, two more grow back!

hmmm, the link in the story said he was applying for a recent opening at an LA area library. His agent is advising him to holdout for a four year deal. He seems to be using the librarian openings in St Louis and Orlando as leverage. vr, Xei

You have to live in St. Louis to work for the library there. Almost all of the municipal jobs there have a residency requirement.

How many other teams could have a Frank Robinson Day.

Cincy, L.A., L.A. of Anaheim, Cleveland, and San Francisco.

Oakland could have a Frank Robinson Day since he grew up there.

Worse than this .... Dusty Baker is stating he has been hired for studio work on BBTN.

(haven't found a link to story yet)

The NY Post speculated on Baker going to ESPN last month.
