On the 40-man roster now, the Mets have the following players who played for the Dodgers or were in the Dodgers farm system:
Marcos Carvajal
Pedro Martinez
Guillermo Mota
Chan Ho Park
Duaner Sanchez
Paul Lo Duca
Jose Valentin
Shawn Green
Just to show I bear no malice toward the Mets and Jose, I hope that when this year is complete, Valentin's combined stats for
2 years are exactly what a reasonable projection made after his last(only?) year with the D's would be.
Julio Franco is 48 (he turns 49 on August 23). Other players who were actually on a big league roster as legitimate players at that age (not token appearances like Minnie Minoso or Nick Altrock) or older would be Hoyt Wilhelm (49 years old with the 1972 Dodgers although he claimed to be 48 at the time) and Jack Quinn who was 49 and on the 1933 Reds.
Quinn's last game was two days after his 50th birthday.

Now the question becomes (if Sandy makes the team), would Alomar and Franco be the oldest teammates in history?
And wasn't/isn't Ricky Ledee also under the Mets' control, or is he elsewhere?
