"The best I ever had."

That is if Pat Gillick could sing songs by The Who.

But at that salary, Howard won't be hitting any Happy Jacks ...

1 Well played.

I guess Howard and his agent didn't want to Sell Out any of his arbitration years. I Can't Explain why the Phils couldn't have bought a little good will at a relatively small price by making his salary break Pujols' record.

What songs can Pat Gillick sing? His name sounds country to me.

Just in time for Howard to get a Sunday NYT magazine article, pointing out that he is "considered to be steroid-free"

The outcome is not a Success Story for either side; both probably wish they could Join Together to buy out some arbitration years for a large chunk of change, before Howard could declare, "I'm Free" and sell his services to the highest bidder.

4 I'll bet the two most popular forms of music in Chico are country and stoner. (Excluding the prison.)
