NL DH's were a combined 2 for 26? WOW.

This is the first one that I haven't been able to figure out within 30 seconds. I am now going to stare blankly at my computer screen until I decipher it.

It's gotta be something obscure. Like the last guy to hit an inside the park home run or something.

I'm gonna guess it's the guy who got the franchise's first interleague hit against that opponent.

Players on those teams the last time they faced one another? That doesn't seem correct. There are a lot of former teams/trades going on, it seems.

Well, two minutes on Retrosheet proves that guess to have been woefully incorrect.

Most of it seems to go back only to last year, but then you have the odd Milton Bradley or Joe McEwing.

6 referred to my guess, of course, although Yankee23's is also wrong.

Milton Bradley never faced Detroit when he was an Expo. That complicates things considerably.

I give up. Spill the beans, funny man.

Darren Lewis, Jorge Piedra, Edwin Encarnacion, Miguel Ojeda. Those guy are the outliers that should lead us in the right direction. What did they do that was unique or special. Because, frankly, they are completely unimportant.

I'm going to go out on a limb with Bob's personal favourite, players to reach on catcher's interference?

I know it works for Ethier, Erstad (with the WS), Hafner, Barajas, Encarnacion, and Tejada thanks to Bob's list from this year. Not sure how to search for this for call in retrosheet or baseball reference to confirm the rest.

Oh, man. I hope you're right. It would be right in Bob's wheelhouse, and it's a great guess.

You are correct sir.

The Mariners have the longest catcher's interference drought in the majors at 10 years.

I thought Darin Erstad would have been the clue since he's on the sidebar.

I apologize for the delay also as I've been under the weather a bit and wanted to get some sleep.

Feeling much better today and ready to enjoy my day off of work. Scheduled day off, not a sick day.
