Overall standings: AL 129, NL 109

Tampa Bay's 4-3 win over the Dodgers was the 127th in interleague for the Junior Loop, clinching the overall lead. There are 252 scheduled interleague games.

This is the third consecutive year that the AL has won. The two leagues tied at 126-126 in 2004 even though MLB.com disagrees. They forgot to count a Phillies win over the White Sox that was made up later in the year.

And what does the American League get for this?

Absolutely nothing.

It is somehow ironic that we are unlikely to see Kemp or Loney at DH not because they can't hit but because they are upgrades in the field.

2 sounds like an inside joke, I hope.

Awww...

Dark Helmet: Before you die there is something you should know about us, Lone Star.
Lone Starr: What?
Dark Helmet: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
Lone Starr: What's that make us?
Dark Helmet: Absolutely nothing! Which is what you are about to become.

So I guess the one intraleague game (featuring Bob's favorite team no less) just doesn't count now, hM?
