A guy in my fraternity had a hyphenated last name. To compensate for this, we gave him the nickname Hymen. Now he's getting married. What will his wife do? Double-hyphen? Keep his single-hyphen? Keep her own last name? Keep one of the original hyphenated surnames and create a new hyphenated surname? The possibilities are endless!

Go the Ian Snell route and take your wife's surname.

This guy is just lucky that Meredith Baxter-Berney couldn't get through that arm trouble.

Wicked slider, Meredith Baxter-Berney

Or combine 'em, like Anthony Villagarosa (mayor of your fair city, however it's spelt) did.

Villaraigosa.

And he's getting divorced.

I think Jarrod Saltalamacchia needs a hyphenated name. It'd make a full circle around his back.
