World Cup time!

The baseball World Cup that is. It's being held in Taipei.

The U.S. team has won its first two games. Andy LaRoche was the hero in the second game for the U.S. Jeff Karstens was the hero in the opener.

Shouldn't that be "Andy LaRoche"...?

What do nations have to do to qualify for this tournament?

... and I believe the tournament is being held in various cities in Taiwan, not just in the capitol city of Taipei.

Thanks for the update. :)

Really, are you sure it says that? ;-)

I was going by the dateline in the story, but another link gives the whole schedule and it's all over the island. But I've learned that the name of that island off the coast of China is not a simple one. Especially when it comes to sports.

I don't know of any broadcasts.

You should have combined this with the question, what girl would you like to watch a world cup game with?

I'll take the easy way out and say Alyssa Milano because I think she sold records in Japan.

Of course Phoebe Cates works well in Japan too.
