It's not the obvious source of your hatred (Cardinals).

And thinking Thrushes or Sparrows isn't getting me anywhere. Hen is about the only female that jumps out...

The birds in number 2 are found primarily in the West and are often confused with another far more common bird. Although out in California, the birds in picture 2 are quite common.

"Kendall, Brewers agree on deal."

Love me some Google.

You are correct.

The males are black with yellow eyes. They look somewhat like starlings, but I remember that "Brewers Blackbirds have black beaks." Starlings don't.

"Jason is one of the most durable catchers in the game," general manager Doug Melvin said. "He brings a hard-nose attitude and ability to get the most out of his pitching staff. Offensively, he works the count and will give you good at-bats."

Wow. That's damning with faint praise indeed.

Sheesh, I'm into birds and even I had to look that one up. I suppose a guy standing behind a beer keg would've been too obvious, though.

Love the comma, and all the rest.

Looking forward to your rebus on the Twins-Rays deal if that becomes official...

19 Bob, I wanted desperately to send you an email with pictures regarding the Brocail signing, using a broken bottle for "broke ale" but I never got around to it.

I shall keep my eyes peeled for the next free agent signing!

So $4.25M/yr is the going rate for a poor defense/light hitting catcher these days? I wonder if he and Piazza ever challenged each other throwing out their respective grandmothers in Spring Training last year. I'd pay to see that.
