Mr. Miller, on behalf of baseball fans everywhere, I apologize to you, once again.

What a joke.

No Billy Martin or Marvin Miller. Why do I care about such things?

Barney Dreyfuss has been dead for 75 years, does he have the record of, how do I word this, being dead the longest before being elected to the HOF.

Does the HOF allow family members/reps to speak on behalf of the electees who are no longer alive? If not, only Dick Williams is around to speak in Cooperstown.

Family members are usually tracked down to accept the awards. Usually they don't give a speech unless the honoree is recently deceased.

William Hulbert had been deceased for 113 years before he was inducted into Cooperstown.

We watched the Aristocats last night!

4 How will the Dodgers honor O'Malley and if they do, what about Branch Rickey?

5 And Frank Selee had been dead for 90 years.

Putting in Kuhn but not Miller is an embarrassment.

7 Oh, and Wilbert Robinson too.

I originally was looking for pictures under "The Aritocrats" and kept finding photos that were not suitable.

The Dodgers will retire Branch Rickey's eyebrows, Wilbert Robinson's XXL jersey, and Walter O'Malley's commemorative Brinks armored truck.

I get South Worth and Dreyfuss. Don't have the Aristocrats DVD (either one), but I'm guessing O'Malley?
Is Williams the singer?
And I don't get Kids as Kuh or whatever...

Think of the character that the actor depicts and what song he sings. Extrapolate from there.

The last picture cheats on the pronunciation.

Not all of these are literal.

Marvin Miller got just three votes from the 12-member committee.

Dreyfuss and Kuhn got 10 and O'Malley got 9, which was the cutoff.

16 Only 3 votes?! That is a disgrace.

The committee had enough hard-line ownership types on it to make Miller a longshot, but Kuhn a gimme. Murray Chass did a pre-emptory rip of the committee in Sunday's New York Times.

OK... Fiddler on the roof? And I've never seen it.

Cute for the last one? Then you elide?
