Paul Daugherty of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports this morning that the Cincinnati Reds have fired general manager Wayne Krivsky after fewer than three seasons on the job. Walt Jocketty will be named as his replacement.
I guess people weren't all that impressed with the acquisition of Gary Majewski.
Dusty Baker was hired to manage in mid-October; Jocketty hired as an adviser just after New Years. I wonder how Jocketty perceives Dusty. Strange timing all this.
Krivsky is done, right? He never gets another gig, does he? Maybe Kevin Malone could use a new salesman. Or maybe there's a spot open back stage, washing cars, or fetching doughnuts, or something.
