Hanley Ramirez and the Marlins have reportedy agreed to a six-year, $70 million contract. This should keep Florida's best player in Marlin black and teal until the team decides to trade him to a much wealthier American League team.

Ha, with the numbers that Ramirez puts up, he will be making one million dollars more per year than Juan Pierre. What a contrast in production.
Has he signed the contract yet?

Wow, Ramirez should have waited to become a free agent. 70 miilion dollars is a lot of money but he could have doubled it on the market and gone to a better team.

2 He's not eligible for FA until after the 2011 season. He'll be eligible for FA when this contract expires in time for his age 31 season.
